Recoding Text Units

Two important questions you'll eventually ask yourself once you start using NUD.IST:
What if I forget how and where I've coded a particular text unit?
You can use the Document Browser, highlight the text unit(s) in question and using the eXamine Coding button on the Coding Palette. This will show you the names of the nodes where you've coded the specified text units.
What happens if I code and then recode the same text units?
Nothing! And that's good news! Recoding the same text at a node does NOT add any redundant data to your node.
What you don't see as a user is how NUD.IST actually (technically) codes data in the background by using references to the document text rather than the actual text from your documents.
